Other Cool Car Stuff:
- Griot's Garage - this is
"car porn!" If you're a car nut, this catalog has the best
of everything you need to pamper your car and outfit your dream
garage. Sign up for their
catalog. It comes every few months and
makes for great reading over breakfast! It's better than Victoria's
Secret!
- Ernie Bello Motorsport Tire - (no website) In Palm Beach County,
there is no better place to get tires, brakes, and suspension work for your
track day car or
your daily driver. Ernie Bello is a racer and is extremely
knowledgeable. Bello Motorsports is a rare place where service is the
foundation of the business. The office is more like a clubhouse for motorheads! This is the polar opposite of places like Tire
Kingdom! He's located at 1810 Old Okeechobee in West Palm Beach.
Phone: 561-686-1941 I wouldn't go anywhere else!
- Wine
Country Motorsports - This is a good source for racing and track day
equipment, safety gear, apparel, and accessories. They have a local
store in Jupiter, FL. This is where I bought my helmet and racing
suit.
- Sector 111
- The best place to find "tasty bits" for your Lotus Elise / Exige. I
promise you'll find some things you MUST have. Beware - you'll be
tempted to get out the credit cards!
- Valentine 1
- Hands down, the best and ONLY radar / laser detector you should consider
buying. I've got THREE of them (for four cars). One of the nice
things about the V1 detector is that it is always upgradeable. When
radar technology changes, you don't have to buy a new detector. You
just send your V1 back to the factory, and they'll
upgrade it
for a reasonable fee - around $50, I think. And, you'll have it back
within a week!
- Japtrix - A
local (West Palm Beach) "speed" shop. I have entrusted my recently
blown-up Subie STi to their care. I plan to get my STi back better and
faster than it was when it was new! Stay tuned!
